Case Study: Divan Medical

Building a Scalable, White-Label Telehealth Platform

Building a Scalable, White-Label Telehealth Platform

The Challenge

Divan Medical was an early-stage telehealth startup with a strong clinical vision and a working proof of concept. Their initial platform relied on a collection of SaaS tools stitched together to validate demand and demonstrate feasibility.

Building a Scalable, White-Label Telehealth Platform

While the proof of concept worked, it created friction where it mattered most. Patient onboarding was clunky and confusing, leading to drop-off before appointments even began. Physicians also faced limitations. Viewing patient data was disjointed, workflows were inefficient, and creating prescriptions required unnecessary manual steps.

As the company looked toward growth, these issues became blockers. The platform was not designed to scale across states, support a polished mobile experience, or offer the flexibility required for partnerships and expansion. Leadership needed a production-ready solution that could support real clinical workflows, meet HIPAA requirements, and evolve into a defensible healthcare product.

The Outcome

Building a Scalable, White-Label Telehealth Platform

After partnering with our team, Divan Medical transformed its telehealth platform into a unified, scalable, and HIPAA-compliant system designed for both patients and clinicians.

Patient onboarding became streamlined and intuitive, significantly reducing friction at the first point of contact. Patients could easily access care through modern web and mobile applications built specifically for their needs.

Physicians gained a clean, purpose-built experience that allowed them to quickly review patient data, conduct virtual visits, and create prescriptions within a single workflow. This improved efficiency, reduced cognitive load, and supported higher-quality clinical interactions.

Over time, we helped Divan Medical evolve the platform into a white-label solution, enabling partners to brand and deploy the technology across different markets. This shift unlocked rapid expansion and allowed the company to operate in all 50 states.

The platform moved from an early proof of concept to a scalable telehealth infrastructure capable of supporting national growth.

How We Helped

We helped Divan Medical bridge the gap between a fragmented proof of concept and a scalable, enterprise-ready telehealth platform by rebuilding the system with long-term growth in mind.

Building a Scalable, White-Label Telehealth Platform

We replaced the patchwork of SaaS tools with a custom architecture designed specifically for healthcare workflows. This included modern web applications and native mobile apps, reliable real-time video visits, and a backend capable of handling clinical data securely and compliantly.

The platform was built on AWS with a Rails backend, React for the web frontend, and React Native for mobile apps. Real-time video visits were powered by WebRTC using Vonage, providing a stable and secure communication layer. From day one, the system was designed to meet HIPAA compliance requirements.

By focusing on patient onboarding, physician experience, and extensibility, we delivered a platform that not only solved immediate usability issues but also supported white-labeling, multi-state operations, and long-term growth.
